Well where to begin with our review, 31 reviews for this company, all 5*, only begins to describe the experience. We booked a private tour of local cheese and wine and were picked up at our accommodation by Markel in a luxury Mercedes. From the onset Markel was absolutely delightful and we were made to feel completely at ease and in the safest of hands. He was the most polite and respectful individual, courteous at all times and attentive.
The passion for his heritage was infectious so by the time we reached our first destination we were completely engaged.
Our first stop was a fourth generation artisan cheese producer, of some renown, still working the sheep farm of his forefathers and producing the most exquisite product. We spent quite some time on the farm going through life as they have known it for years, it was like being part of the best written documentary. One of the nicest things was that Markel was as interested as us, it felt like a family visit.
This experience continued through the day were Markel was greeted by our hosts as part of their family which only made our presence all the more pleasant and enjoyable at the winery and then for lunch at a fishing village. Absolutely fabulous, priceless.
