Overview

"Nightmare in budapest" is an interactive horror theatre, or rather a journey into the realm of darkness in the style of the american haunted house and magic castle ride. Our aim is to create a terrifying, adrenaline-fuelled, spectacular and thrilling ride, which will leave our brave visitors, between the ages of 14 and 99, with a lasting memory. Our "stark raving" performers await our thrill-seeking, fear-hungry visitors in an environment of unique sets and props over 400 square metres (25-30 mins), with special sound and light effects. Are you brave enough to enter and face your fears?

Itinerary

Our everyday show is "The Nightmare", in which you encounter creatures and lords of the dark while you descend deeper and deeper into their realm. During this horrific tour you have to find your way through multiple chambers and labyrinths spread across 400 m2 (25-30 mins) while constantly bargaining or perhaps running for your life. Are you brave enough to enter and face your fears? Knowledge of English is required. All of our programs REQUIRE BOOKING ahead of time! Important! Loved the attention to detail, and the host was very sweet and lovely. The actors played their part amazingly, and it was the scariest horror experience we had. Worth the price!

I honestly can't believe this experience isn't more talked about, it was so entertaining and my partner was petrified haha. Really interactive and so much fun, such good value for money. It is quite scary and the actors are quite hands on but it is part of the scare aspect and really immersed us, we were freaked out but in a funny and entertaining way; they made very it clear that if we ever felt uncomfortable we could say the 'safe word' and can leave immediately so we always felt in control and honestly raved about it to all the tourists we chatted to afterwards. I cannot recommend this enough, it's like nothing we've done before! Definitely booked it if you like being scared and want something different to try!

Scare Maze and Coffin Escape Room

We did the Coffin Escape Room and the Scare Maze. Both were unique experiences but I would say the latter is the better. Normally in scare mazes the actors won’t touch you, but that’s not the case here which makes it much better. Unlike many mazes like the London Dungeons, they put in as many people as possible in the group which detracts from it being scary. In this one, all the focus and jump scares are on your group only. I’d definitely recommend this and would even do it again if I were to return.

We got the scare of our lives! The actors are very good and the inter active role playing is so realistic. I’m about to say “I am a Chicken”, but I wanted to see the end. One of the best experience I had in Budapest. Highly recommended.

This is such an entertaining experience! We visited as a group of 6, and after receiving a really warm welcome from the host , we scrambled through with lots of screams and laughter along the way. So much thought has gone into making the experience as fun & realistic as possible, with some genuinely scary parts too. Actors were brilliant and the interaction added another dimension to it. Definitely recommended to anyone visiting Budapest :)
