Everybody knows what Waterford Crystal is, but not a lot of people know what the history of Waterford. We elected to take a tour of The House of Waterford. The tour was very nicely conducted. Our tour guide (I don't remember her name) was very informative and interacted with us tourist wonderfully. Seeing how the crystal is made was very interesting. The facility was extremely clean, and the staff was very lovely.
The "showroom" where you can purchase pieces was spotless, beautiful and elegant, but not snooty or stuffy! The overall build of The House of Waterford was very tasteful, and the employees were equal to that. They spent time with my wife and myself, and we ultimately purchased the Lismore Decanter and a set of high ball glasses as well.
If you know anything about Waterford Crystal, I will say this is a must stop and see! If you don't know anything about Waterford Crystal, you will become a fan, admirer or maybe owners to a couple of their pieces after the visit.
A job well done Waterford! We would love to come back and add to our collection!
