From the basilica Notre Dame de Fourviere to the Roman monuments, discover the ancient Capital of Gaul. We’ll walk down the hill to explore the old town, a Renaissance district where the traboules, the secret passageways of the city, are opening up before us. Fourviere is the historical hill of Lyon, where everything started. From the Notre Dame de Fourviere basilica to the Roman monuments, discover the ancient capital of Gaul with your guide. Under the Roman stones are hidden so many fascinating stories. Then we’ll climb down the hill to discover the old town, Le Vieux-Lyon, the Renaissance district and the traboules, the secret passageways cutting through the buildings and the courtyards.

We did 3 tours with Jeremie in Lyon with my family of 5 including the Walking tour of Lyon with Fourviere Hill and Old town, the Les Halles Paul Bocuse and the Beaujoulais wine tour. Our group was 2 parents and 3 adult children--26, 24, 20. The Lyons private tour of Vieux Lyons was so fun--learning the history of Vieux Lyons, exploring the traboules, the Roman theater and then silk shopping--there was something for everyone on this tour. Highly recommend.
