I'm Glen Henley the owner operator or "Henley's Privarte Tours". I started as a tour guide in 2012 and created this private tour in 2016. My goal was to build the best private tour in the New Orleans area. I have met thousands of guests over the years and am very pleased to now have hundreds of 5-star reviews online. You will hear stories about the first explorers, our history (past &present), see the Mississippi river, cemeteries, architecture, famous landmarks, the wetlands, flood control systems, slavery in the plantations vs here in the colony, the neighborhoods, get some great food, hear about the nationalities, the diversity, the Creoles & Cajuns, Mardis Gras, the catholic church influence and more. We had a great experience touring New York City with Jonathan. He's a great tour guide and he made it very memorable and enjoyable. It was perfect from beginning to end. Glen met us at our hotel on time. His knowledge of New Orleans and the surrounding area was very impressive to say the least. His lunch location was a neat local deli which tourists would not know to visit. The food was great and being able to chat with Glen was a great way to learn even more about New Orleans. I highly recommend Henley’s Private Tours. Superb service and great communication. Glen will customize your tour based on your interests. He was able to accommodate people in our group with mobility issues by storing our walker and providing a step stool for ease of getting in and out of his van. A top notch way to tour New Orleans. Thank you Glen for a memorable visit to New Orleans.

Mr. Glen took our family on a fabulous tour through New Orleans. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining- he spoke on New Orleans history, culture, architecture and more. He also pointed out several place to be sure we visit during our stay. Mr. Glen made us feel like old friends. We had our 9 year old daughter with us and he was extra attentive to make her feel included. He even made personalized accommodations to make sure our daughter had some ice-cream. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to New Orleans.

Wonderful way to see and learn about New Orleans

From the moment I was met by Glen my tour guide at my hotel I was totally taken with the amount of New Orleans history he was able to share with me , as we went to through the different areas of interest, Andrew Jackson Square ,the Beautiful St. Louis Cathedral, the beautiful historic homes in and around the French Quarter I was able to visualize what it was like when first built to the present time. New Orleans became more than a tourist destination to me and made me appreciate its History. The WII History Museum was beautiful and the history behind it, was amazing . Anyone thinking about taking one of the Henley’s tours will be glad they did!
