  • Park and National Palace of Pena

    Visit Pena National Palace on the top of Sintra's Mountain, one of the most impressive expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in architecture in the world and one of Portugal’s seven wonders, and the amazing gardens full of rare fauna and unique trees from the four corners of the world. You will find a Palace not just with a single style but a mix of Romantic, Renaissance, Manueline and Moorish styles. A variety of trails that lead you right to the top where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the peaceful forests and gardens covered by exotic plants and flowers, the western coastline and the city of Lisbon below. The Pena Palace was designated a National Monument in 1910 and its part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, which has been classified by UNESCO as World Heritage since 1995.

    Admire Sintra Village Historical Center where you’ll have free time to explore the town, to see Sintra National Palace from the outside, the charming traditional shops, restaurants and historic cafes but above all the landscape that has inspired so many artists, writers and kings. Don't forget to taste the traditional "Travesseiros de Sintra" and "Queijadas de Sintra", two of the most delicious local pastries. Take a walk along the medieval streets of Sintra one of the most known and romantic Portuguese villages. Due to its palaces, woods and the fogy mountains, Sintra has become a magical place. Or you can spend your free time exploring the mystical Quinta da Regaleira and its famous initiatic well!

    After lunch, we will drive through one of the most beautiful roads of Sintra straight to Roca Cape, the westernmost point of Continental Europe, where you'll be amazed by the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the high rocky cliffs, an absolute paradise for photography lovers.

  • Guincho Beach (Pass By)

    On the way to Cascais we will pass by a beautiful beach, part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, Guincho Beach is popular for its strong winds and high swells that are the delight of a great following among bodyboarders and surfers. Throughout summer, there is generally a good northerly wind ensuring Guincho is excellent for windsurfing. Part of the Guincho beach great beauty is its natural white sand dunes that contrasts with the Serra de Sintra hills.

  • Cascais

    Once a small pour fishermen village, this town in the 19th century was one of the favorite retreats for the royal family, and became a favorite summer destination of the European aristocracy and noble families for its incredible location and a pleasant climate. Known as the French Riviera, this elegant seaside resort town is now the favorite destination of the national and international jet set. Stroll along the charming city center and enjoy the lovely Cascais bay.

    Right next to Cascais we will drive trough Estoril, also a luxury tourist destination, known for having been home to numerous royal families and famous personalities, and popular because of the "Casino Estoril", considered Europe's largest casino.

Lovely way to discover Sintra & Cascais

The views were lovely and our tour guide, Bruno, was very helpful and funny, punctual with pick up. It was a great way to discover placed that I've wanted to see for a long time and a positive experience that i do recommend.

We booked 8 person small group tour, but were pleasantly surprised when it became a private tour. Not sure what happened but Dona Maria and Viator gave us the best tour ever . Dona Maria is masterful with knowledge of the area covered , even the rain didn’t dim her enthusiasm !

Worth the Trip (if you have Maria as your tour guide)

We could not go to the Peña Castle because of fires in the area and major roads being closed. But after much deliberation, we decided to go ahead with the other part of the tour and some other places that are tour guide. Maria said she would take us. My husband was very skeptical, but I figured we didn’t have anything else to do that day and we were already there so let’s go! No regrets! Maria was outstanding! She pointed out so many interesting things to us and told us all about them. It was such an informative and pleasant trip. It ended up only being three of us so we went in a car and instead of a van. That was fine, too!

Maria collected us, at easy pick up Point, we were her only two clients for this trip, which was fantastic for us! Maria has a wealth of knowledge, is easy to communicate with and a pleasure to spend the day with. We went to Sintra village first and Maria recommend a specialised pastry shop, which was magnificent! Beautiful tradition village.Then onto Peña palace, rather than just leave us, Maria took us in and gave loads of information we wouldn’t have had, we had garden only tickets, which were good enough for us, you really need a whole day to experience. Then onto Cabo da Roca( the end of the world) which was interesting and windy!! The last stop Cascais,which was lovely, nice stop for a drink, food and beach. I would recommend…. Trainers, as lots of walking and hills, can be chilly so a jacket is a must. Would 100% recommend Maria, she made our day really special and she’s so enthusiastic about her country, don’t hesitate to book, I thought we could do this on our own, but sooo glad we had a guide.

Our tour guide Maria was amazing, grade A service. Very knowledgeable well spoken with detailed historical facts. Not a boring moment throughout our comfortable air conditioned van tour.
