Our fun, one hour tour brings visitors on a journey through the history of mead. The stories of mead and honey are thousands of years old, and are intertwined with Ireland's myths and legends. Taste the honey that we use to make our delicious mead. Learn all about the making of mead. Enjoy a guided tasting of this refreshingly different drink with our mead experts. Kinsale Mead Co. is Ireland’s first Meadery in 200 years. We love to share our passion and knowledge of all things mead and honey.

Good Tour and Tasty Mead, What More Do You Need?

Zara was knowledgeable and sweet, had a lovely time taking the tour and her walking us through the tasting. The tour is brief but informative and interactive, all good attributes in such a thing!

Great Experience for First Time Mead Drinkers

We had a fantastic time at the mead tasting in Kinsale. Zara was an amazing guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. The whole team made us feel really welcome and never rushed the experience, even though they had a busy day ahead. We had never tried mead before and ended up buying two bottles. Highly recommend stopping here if you have the time.

Stewart gave us an incredibly informative and fun tour of Kinsale mead co. All of the staff/owners were very welcoming. Highly recommend as an activity on a trip to Kinsale. Can't wait to open our bottle of Atlantic Dry!

Must-do!

A must-do in Kinsale! We were guided by Stuart in a super interesting and fun tour, in which he told us about the history and curiosities linked to mead production. He is passionate about his job, we could feel it! It was a lot of fun. The tasting was the cherry on the top. Of course, we finished buying a coupe of bottles of the delicious mead. We highly recommend a visit!

Truly an amazing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how (Meade is made. I’m not a wine drinker; however, I truly enjoyed many of the varieties that I sampled. It’s a must try. You will not be disappointed.
