This guided walk in the historic center of Barcelona will let you discover more than the usual: buildings & squares you will not encounter easily. Immerse with us into the captivating history of the city while strolling through the maze of little streets in El Born & Gothic Quarter. Enjoy a drink in a magical square where mostly locals go. Learn about important Catalan legends. What’s the significance of the dragon? Why was a bat decisive in a battle? What’s the legend behind the Catalan flag? During this 2.5 hours walk we will make the connection from medieval history & legends to what inspired architects and motivates the independence movement. If you love history brought to life by passionate storytellers and want to enjoy the intimacy of a small group then this is your experience. After the walk you will discover details you have not noticed before. See the city with different eyes!

Great way to start our Barcelona vacation!

Our multi-generational group of 13 had this private tour with Christian on our first full day in Barcelona. Fabulous way to start the vacation! Highly recommend at the beginning of your visit. We were able to go back and shop and dine in some hidden areas of the city that Christian showed us that we wouldn’t have found on our own. He had interesting information and stories to share. Thank you, Christian!

Very Insightful and Fun Tour

My girlfriend and I did this private tour with Michael and had the best time! We got a lot of knowledge about the different sights and sides of Barcelona, not just visiting the most famous places, but gaining a real understanding of what makes the city special and seeing all the little hidden alleys and hearing about the history of the city and how it developed. In addition to that, it was just very interesting to talk to Michael and hear about his life and his history with Barcelona. He also provided us with more tips for our visit and kept informing us about upcoming events. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see more of Barcelona than just the biggest sights.

Off the beaten track is best!

Barcelona is enormous and it’s easy to get lost amongst the throngs of tourists. Christian took us through some amazing neighborhoods that we never would have discovered otherwise. As a result, I purchased a piece of jewelry from the studio of an amazing local artist and I am ecstatic!

Our tour with Christian was the perfect introduction to Barcelona for us. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and this area of Spain. He personalized our tour according to our specific needs and was very attentive to all of our needs throughout. We loved getting to know the areas of this amazing city that you don’t read about in any guidebooks or blogs. Christian’s love for this beautiful city is contagious. We are so happy that this is the way we spent our first moments in Barcelona for the first time!

Christian is a super nice and knowledgeable guide. The tour was very informative - I just wish we would have taken it at the beginning of our stay, so we could go back to all the interesting places he showed us!
