Overview

Changunarayan Hill to Telkot Hike, near Kathmandu Day Tour is an excellent day hike to escape from city life for a while. This hike is for the people who want to escape from the hustle & bustle of city life & try some easy adventure activities while enjoying nature. This is a different tour from the sightseeing. Its a mixture of history, culture and nature hike outside the Kathmandu Valley. It starts from the oldest Temple of Nepal Changunarayan and old village settlements in its surroundings on the top of the hill. After a beautiful visit we head towards Telkot. We pass through small villages, forests, and some terrace farms. If the weather is clear we will see a panoramic view of the Mountains.

Exceptional touring experience made my trip to Nepal richer

Deepak was my guide for several days at end of April 2025. He was flexible, kind, and offered unique touring opportunities. He is very knowledgeable about religious and spiritual life here. Food tour, craft tour, Changunarayan village tour and hike, and visit to UNESCO sites were all exceptional. A good leg stretch

Starting with a beautiful temple and finishing with a long suspension bridge the walk was straightforward and just enough for our last day in Kathmandu. Thanks for a great day in the sun

Great, relaxed tour

The tour was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was always looking to make sure I had a good time. I also liked that this tour was a bot more remote (45 minute drive from Thamel) so there weren't big crowds and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Great hike with Anjal

Anjal was fantastic hike guide. She explained the wildlife and the area as we travelled through. The views were spectacular, with a great shot of the Himalayas through the trees. It is a gentle walk suitable for all. I would highly recommend.
