Discover the capital of Europe with a private guide during your cruise stop As capital of Belgium and capital of Europe, Brussels offers the best of many worlds: from Gothic architecture to Art Nouveau, from historical landmarks like the Triumphal Arch in the Jubilee Park and the Palace of Justice to the Atomium, the icon of modernity during the universal exhibition Expo 58. The medieval city centry is both trendy and traditional. We discover the city both by private car and on foot. Brussels offers spectacular views as it was built on seven hills.

Itinerary

  • Atomium

    Brussels is a 90 minutes drive from Zeebrugge. In the morning we discover the city by car with the Atomium, the gothic cathedral, the 19th century Palace of Justice with its panoramic view over the entire city, the Jubilee Park with king Leopold II's museum island and universal exhibition halls. Restaurant recommendations can be given for your lunch break : you can go for "haute cuisine" or for simple but delicious mussels with fries.The Grand-Place is considered as one of the most beautiful places of the world.

  • Grand Place

    In the afternoon we discover the city on foot : from the fish market over the Halles Saint-Géry to the most beautiful market square of Europe, the "Grand Place". We close of with a Brussels speciality : Geueze beer, which is beer of spontaneous fermentation, only brewn in the Brussels region, but 60% of what is brewn is exported to USA, Canada, Japan, etc. Your driver / guide will stick to still water though, and will bring you safely back to your cruise port.

Discovering Brussels architecture, culture and fooooooddd

Starting our journey from Zeebrugge with Lucia, we enjoyed a lovely tour of Brussels, uncovering the beauty of this culturally and architecturally rich city. The highlight of the day? Our meal at Chez Léon—absolutely unforgettable! Miammm!
