Meeting Location: Fu Cheng Men Subway Station, Exit B, Street Level. Subway Direction: Fu Cheng Men station is on line 2. When you get off the train, follow signs to Exit B. We will be upstairs, outside the exit, waiting for you. Please refer to your voucher for meeting location details.

Then stroll through a residential hutong neighborhood, passing temples and markets along the way, while stopping to enjoy authentic breakfast dishes and drinks where locals eat. There are no tourists here, just family-run eateries and street stalls where everything is made to order like it has for generations. While visiting 4-5 sit-down eateries, street stalls and markets, you will get to try over 10 breakfast dishes and drinks that Beijing locals love. You'll learn how each dish is made as they are prepared fresh for us to enjoy. Give Beijing's famous yogurt a try, watch savory pancakes prepared in a way you haven't seen before, visit a local market to see what's in season, and feast on a classic Beijing breakfast spread...plus a lot more!

Fun food tour

We had a great time on the Hutong breakfast tour with Winnie. So many interesting dishes! We never would have had these on our own, there were some great hidden gems. Thanks again to Winnie for her help and showing us a great time.

This food tour was fantastic! It offered great insight into local breakfast traditions and the history behind iconic dishes. Our guide, Winnie, was excellent—knowledgeable and engaging. The food was delicious, with each stop showcasing the best of local cuisine. Highly recommend for an authentic taste of local flavors and culture!

I wanted to share how much we appreciated our time with Winnie. She was incredibly kind and embraced us with her rich knowledge of local culture. Her in-depth understanding of the Chinese language added so much depth to our experience, and we loved learning about the cultural context behind it throughout the trip. The highlight was definitely the white pagoda at our last stop, where we ended the tour with a delightful coffee and a beautiful view from the second floor of the coffee shop. It was the perfect way to conclude our morning! Thank you, Winnie, for making our experience so memorable!

The reason to take. Food tour is to visit places you would never dare visit and taste new dishes that you just can’t pronounce, and that’s exactly what we did on the Hutong breakfast tour with Winnie. Although we had been in Beijing a few days and had breakfasts around town we ate round fifteen dishes I’ve not seen before. Some of the cafes were simply invisible to us and the tour guide opens the door and in you step to mother time. We had a great time and Winnie’s English and knowledge was very good.
