Overview

This tour is perfect for people who love history, culture,architecture and museums. People always say:when visit Forbidden city, 70% is to learn the stories and 30% is to see the palace. During this 4 hours walking tour, you will stop at different locations to have the "Story time" and gain the insight view to the fascinating culture. You will visit major buildings and courtyards. Group size is limited to 10 people to ensure more personalized attention from your guide. Entrance fees is included. Meeting point is in front of Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

Food for thought

Mike is a marvellous local who spoke very fluent english, a rare find in China after so many trips to China. He was able to explain complex and contentious history in simple terms and even contrast with european empire. Whilst he avoided the touchy issues, he left facts for you to think through. Never go this place without a good guide.

We had a great tour with Mike in the Forbiden City very knowledgeable and took extra time and attention to explain to us history and details about the Forbiden City remarkable facts. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Vivian was an amazing guide—super knowledgeable, funny, and made everything so interesting. She also takes the best photos! She knows all the good spots and even helps you get the perfect jumping shot. The tour itself was really well-paced, and having the tickets included made everything so easy. If you want a fun, stress-free way to see Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (and get some awesome pictures along the way), I’d definitely recommend this tour with Vivian!
