Overview

Some people prefer the road less traveled—and we designed this tour for those people. An alternative to our popular main route, “The Dim Corner” starts at the Old U.S. Mint, snaking its way into the French Quarter and through a half dozen oft-forgotten true crime gems. Dark history, scandals, and true crimes abound in this comfortably designed walking tour. Learn about Bloody O'Reilly, Aleister Crowley and his connection to the French Quarter, former Gallatin Street-home to notorious criminals and underworld characters-and many other true crime and the darker side of New Orleans history!

Murder and Mayhem Without the Melodrama

Selby, our tour guide was excellent! Informative and captivating without being overly-dramatic like some of the guides we saw that night. She was able to keep our attention despite the distractions in the French Quarter on a Saturday night. Great website, too. Lots of information.

Dim Corner tour

We did the Dim Corner tour with Jon as our guide, and it was so interesting! This is more of a grisly, true crime tour, so if you're more into that kind of history than the supernatural stuff, this will be up your alley. Or in your corner, I guess. Jon was a great guide and storyteller. He even took us to his favorite bar when we needed a break from walking and had a lot of great recommendations for New Orleans!
