Had a great tour today with Robert as our guide. It exceeded my expectations all round. We met lots of passionate, knowledgeable producers/artisans in lovely mountain villages, and also visited a picturesque waterfall and a third century monastery. All products tasted were high-quality - and our lunch and the wines at Linos Winery were outstanding - so many of us came home with culinary delights to share (or keep for ourselves!). Robert kept us moving along while never rushing us, so we packed a lot into the day while giving the “slow food” the time it deserved. He was relaxed and friendly, his enthusiasm and knowledge shining through; and our driver ensured our passage along the twisty mountain roads was safe and comfortable. I would recommend this tour highly (and would happily go again!)
We travelled about 6 hours back and forth from and to our accommodation to take part in this tour, and it was so worth of our time!! Eleni has been very kind and flexible with us being annoying late due to the traffic… and the tour itself was everything we could wish for and more. Eleni was very knowledgeable about the history and also shared about her own experience of events. This made the tour interesting and memorable. Eleni’s narrative of events was full of compassion and offering a perspective that was informative, non-blaming, and widened our understanding of the complicated history of Cyprus and the difficulties the locals have endured and continue to experience. We loved the tour and could not recommend it highly enough!
Quite a long day so take water, wet wipes hand jel . The scenery is spectacular with plenty of stops on route., to take photos. The pottery factory was interesting, you can have a turn on the pottery wheel. Reasonable prices all labeled for items to purchase. The berber village where you stop for lunch is under shade the food is delicious and lots of it. Drinks are chargeable. Great day out exiting going through the mini Sahara desert , the dam and seeing the atlas mountains.
Nelin made this tour one of the best I've ever experienced! Her infectious passion and deep knowledge transformed a simple walk into an unforgettable journey. Every fascinating detail was shared with warmth, humor, and genuine insight, making it feel like a delightful chat with a close friend rather than a formal tour. I've been on many tours, but this one truly stands out for its rich, engaging storytelling and the special touch only Nelin could provide. If you're looking for an enriching and fun tour of Nicosia, make sure to join one of her sessions!
It is a very nice and funny water park. We enjoyed the whole day and my children was so exctinig that we will repeat out tour this year again. The staff are very helpful and the place are very nice. You can enjoy a whole day with exciting slides and different water games. I propose to visit the waterpark because it gives you am unforgettable experience.
I tried to book this through one of the booking portals and as a solo traveler it would not let me. Found a phone number and phoned and booked. When I arrived I had an incredibly warm welcome and had a safety talk. On the tour I was impressed by the incredible knowledge that the guide had of the things we visited. I cannot recommend this trip enough and would certainly do it again.
Myra was a great guide for our trip and was super knowledgeable about the area, history and the wineries that we were visiting. Taverna that we visited had terrific food and the wineries gave us great insights into their wines. Would go on another Cyprus Tasting Tours experience if back in Paphos.
A very informative day that gave an excellent overview a towns passed on the way to Nicosia. A two hour drive with an adequate length break stop half way. The guide gave lots of background information to set us up for the city visit involving early history and the Turkish invasion. The drive time passed well and coach was comfortable. We were walked to the cathedral area and given great information. The cathedral was beautiful inside. Back on the coach for 15 minutes to be dropped in city centre. Another well informed walking tour with full orientation and optional border crossing information ( passport needed). Then adequate free time to eat, shop and cross border. To be better honest we were shown the best sites and the free time was adequate for us. We enjoyed the day and glad we attended. A very interesting practical history lesson but the city lacked charm and attraction for us personally. Yes it's a long drive, but the views enroute are good and the guide uses the time well giving information so time does not drag. The driver was very safe and all timings given accurate. The group was a full large coach and we needed to keep up close to the guide in the streets as no microphone used and information could be missed. Also the pickup location a little away from Google maps location and the company name on the coach different to the tour operator tickets issued. All passenger documentation accurate and an excellent guide though. Pick up was 8:20 in Paphos and hotel return around 4:30pm. Overall an excellent value and informative day out. Well worth doing once.
I was the only participant on this tour. The stop at the olive farm was interesting, although its primary value was an opportunity to buy goods that were for sale there. The stop at Lefkara was enjoyable. The Church of the Holy Cross was well worth visiting. Unfortunately, because of my diminished hearing ability and the guide’s Spanish accent (he was from the Dominican Republic) I had a hard time understanding some of what he said.
Not recommended!! Changed the tour plan not giving us the information. And we want to complain about our driver Mr. Sotiris, having a very bad mood from the morning on – complaining about or backpack not greeting… being very rude in the car and shouting with us (me and my friend). I just asked to put the window up a bit more, because we had an cold and turn the music not too loud. (his music was torture – you want peace in an natural reservat ad he is playing hard rock music that it seems to be in a thriller…) He was just interessted in cigarette breaks and coffee… And we all in the car were non smokers… imagine, when he started to talk in the tiny car…and not using chewing gums… He also never sat with us in an break, always alone - not communicative... Many stops from the Programm Nicole gave us were cancelled (Saint Georg, Avakas, all the villages, we just were in Arodes We came back 15.15, not at 16.00 And just had 20 min in Lara Bay for us and 45 min in the blue lagoon (not like imn the description 1 hour!), but Lunch break 1 hour , but he was not telling us the time, when I asked, how long we would have... just the message "stay around, you will see"... We had all Lunch Pakets with us, just the 5 th custumer from germany wanted to buy something on the was and Sotiris seid, thats not possible and drove to the Restaurant. We could have stayed much longer in this wonderful blue lagoon.... And in a small village - Arodes –we stayed 45 min! Just a coffee shop and an small church there to see! .... just a pitty I had such a time pressure, because I was swimming in the blue lagoon. Not warming up again and had to rush back. But most of all, we think, its not professional to shout with costumers like this.... I asked the Tour Managerin in our reception, she told me, that there is a safe road to the Avakas as well to see a little bit... Answer from Inga from the company:. I think the whole problem was you and the driver rubbing each other the wrong way. We got a 4 & 5* from the other guests in the car so I do not understand. Very unprofessional… I can NOT RECOMMEND this company!!! Never will make a trip with them again…
A must-visit in Cyprus. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and situated in the midst of unspoilt Cypriot countryside. Dr Michaelis is a superb host and incredibly knowledgeable. We were given a tour of the beautiful botanical garden and had the opportunity to taste delicious homemade lemonade, rose, and carob (with a few shots of Zivania to ward off the wind). The tour also includes sampling of seasonal fruits and sampling of Dr Michaelis’ diverse range of oils and fragrances. Thank you, Michaelis, for your hospitality. See you soon, friend!
