Good one-day round-up of Dhaka's top tourist sites, including some unlisted on the itinerary, such as the central market. Guide had excellent English and strong knowledge. The sites themselves could be better maintained and presented. Traffic congestion adds delays.
The tour guide was very professional and friendly. He helped me understand more about Bangladesh and explained a lot of historical and social knowledge about Bangladesh that I had previously lacked or misunderstood. When taking photos, he also communicated well between me and the subjects. I was very satisfied with this trip and enjoyed the photography process.
I had to alter my schedule several times due to my changing travel plans and Mahim was so accommodating. I had an urgent call to make at the end of the tour and we were stuck in such bad traffic I would not have made it on time. Mahim found a hotel with wifi and waited until I had made my call then dropped me back to my hotel.
I had such an excellent tour with Mahadi — truly one of the highlights of my travels. The day started with an early morning visit to a bustling local market, which immediately set the tone for a genuine, immersive experience. From there, we explored the lively, chaotic, and fascinating streets of Old Dhaka, with Mahadi expertly guiding us through the noise and color with stories that brought the area’s rich history to life. One of the unexpected highlights was visiting the beautiful Armenian Church — a peaceful gem tucked away from the crowds, filled with history and charm. Lunch was absolutely delicious — a chance to try local dishes that I probably wouldn't have found on my own, and the food was both authentic and memorable. We also visited Lalbagh Fort, soaked in the colonial and Mughal architecture, and explored hidden alleyways and traditional crafts, including an impressive block printing workshop. Throughout the day, Mahadi shared not just facts, but insights, legends, and personal anecdotes that made everything more meaningful and engaging. What stood out most was Mahadi’s enthusiasm and passion. He’s not just a guide; he’s a storyteller, a historian, and a great travel companion. His energy, professionalism, and warm personality made the tour feel less like a formal excursion and more like a day out with a very knowledgeable friend. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the real Dhaka — raw, vibrant, and full of life — guided by someone who clearly loves his city and takes pride in sharing it. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, a photographer, or just a curious traveler, this tour is an absolute must-do.
We enjoyed our tour to Sonargaon Panam City a lot! Besides seeing some interesting old buildings we also enjoyed a local funfair and some wild rides in a tuktuk. The guide was extremly knowledgable and we could ask any questions about anything, basically. If you look for a great way to explore this zone, you cannot go wrong with this tour!
I’m glad I took this trip which was very well organized by MAM Holidays. My driver spoke very little English, but the main thing was that he was extremely able to deal with the, let’s say, “inventive” driving on the roads and streets of Bangladesh. He was helpful and willing to stop for me to take photos. My guide spoke good English and took good care of any requests that I had. Essentially he was able to communicate with locals where I was not in command of the language. Whether with my guide or in my own I was safe at all times. You will probably meet very few foreigners, but the friendly people of Bangladesh will do everything they can to make you feel welcome.

"Truly Impressive Local Tour Experience!" As a Bangladeshi, I found this tour and booked it locally — and honestly, it was excellent. I was genuinely surprised at the level of luxury provided. From the high-end vehicle to the quality hotels and the professional, experienced driver, everything exceeded my expectations. What amazed me the most was that the vehicle was equipped with seatbelts, which is rare in Bangladesh, and the driver made sure all passengers wore them — something I truly appreciated. Overall, it was a top-class experience. I’m already planning to book my next trip to Sylhet!
The Tour with its three days duration was perfect for our plans because we had only one week for vacation. We had many nice activities like phishing, drink black tea with milk with local people or play a game of Carrom (next time I will be better :)). But we had also time to explore the area around the Ressort on our own. The food was very delicious. Our guide Rocky was available every time. He explained the local culture to us and helped us with everything like booking train ticket because it’s not possible for foreigners. If you are lucky and get Rocky as a guide you will have a great time in Bangladesh. Thaks a lot to him for this unforgettable experience!
I can only say that I was lucky to have Jafur - the CEO - as my guide for the day. He is university educated, well traveled and speaks excellent English. I had an education on Bangladesh history, culture, the economy and anything else we wandered off into. He’s also a great tour guide who is punctual and provided modern transportation
