Overview

The uniqueness of the river safari is its ability to sail very close to the river banks and shallow water. Big boat sail in the middle of the Zambia River but this one sails right close to the river bank therefore bringing clients close the animals. There is an in-house guide that will expound each and every details of the Zambezi River and every pointed animal.

Itinerary

  • Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (Pass By)

    You will get the chance to view many Zambezi islands and channels. Hippos and crocodile can be spotted throughout the year and in the winter months there is the exciting possibility of watching elephants in the river crossing to the islands. You will also get the chance to see water birds, the savanna. Discover the best of the Zambezi aboard specially designed boats that cross rapids with ease and yet operate in water as shallow as 20 cm, making access to amazing parts of the Zambezi, which were previously out of reach possible. Enjoy the thrill of speeding over rapids, then slowing down for a leisurely birding and river wildlife safari around the islands on the Early Morning, Lunch or Sunset Safari. The river safari is available in different slots namely The breakfast slot, The lunch slot and The Sunset slot.

Excellent Wildlife Viewing Opportunity

Our pilots/guides, Rueben and Paul, obviously love sharing the river with guests. They are very knowledgeable about the birds and animals, as well as the ecology of the river overall. It felt like going out with friends who also happen to be experts in what we were seeing. Additionally, by being in a boat, somehow the creatures weren't skittish like they would be if we were on land. That afforded great viewing and photo opportunities.
