Overview

Welcome to Yogyakarta with Wahyu Travel Indonesia. We provide some tour services with an English speaking driver in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas in Java island. Especially, we provide a tour in Yogyakarta to visit Borobudur as the largest Buddhist temple in the world and Prambanan as the most beautiful Hindu temple in the world. Note: After being closed almost 3 years in the end of 2019, now Borobudur temple is opened for climbing up to the top but with very limited quota, 150 persons per hour. Only a lucky person who gets the special ticket for climbing up. I recommend you to book the tour as earlier as possible. If you are not lucky to get Temple Structure ticket, you are still possible to visit Borobudur temple by buying Ground Temple ticket on the spot. Especially on Monday, the main temple of Borobudur and Prambanan is closed. People are only allowed to see the main temple from the yard. Please give your correct WhatsApp number when you book the tour, it's important.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Due to the limitation of special ticket for climbing Borobudur (Temple Structure) 150 persons per hour, I recommend you to book the tour as earlier as possible. After I receive the notification of your booking, I'll immediately send you the special website for buying the special ticket for climbing Borobudur (Temple Structure). So, you will have enough time for buying the special ticket (Temple Structure) before it's sold out.
  • Especially on Monday, people cannot access the main temple. People are allowed to see the main temple far away from the yard only.
  • There is only one website for buying the special ticket for climbing Borobudur (Temple Structure), it is the website I will send to you after I receive your booking.
  • I highly don't recommend you to have a flight in the same day with the tour because for both temples it takes a full day tour, started in the morning from Yogyakarta city and finished in afternoon.

A pleasant and enjoyable experience.

So much had changed in the 24 years since I've been to yogyakarta. Luckily, there are people to guide me through this new setup. Wahyu is an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, courteous, punctual and friendly. He took care of all the details and explained the process of each site which made the whole experience simple and enjoyable. Thank you Wahyu!

A Journey Down Memory Lane with the Perfect Guide

Our tour on Monday was a truly memorable experience, despite some destinations having limited access that day. I traveled with my mom and aunt, both in their 80s, who had visited Borobudur and Prambanan as schoolchildren nearly 70 years ago. This made the journey particularly special for them, bringing back cherished memories. I have to commend Iskandar from Wayhu Travel—he was the best guide I’ve ever encountered. His thoughtfulness was evident at every step, ensuring our comfort and enjoyment throughout the tour. We had engaging conversations about the culture, society, and history of Java, which enriched the experience even further. Iskandar’s local knowledge truly brought the sites to life, and he went above and beyond by suggesting additional activities for us to enjoy in the evening. There may be many similar tours available, but if you have the chance, ask for Iskandar. He’s the one who can make your trip truly unforgettable.
