Overview

Prepare yourselves to explore the history, the architecture and the culture of the capital of Santa Catarina with a local Historian! As we walk, we'll talk about the indigenous groups that occupied the Island of Santa Catarina, and travel through the 17th century, a time marked by the arrival of Portuguese colonisers and African enslaved. We'll then make our way to some of the city's main attractions until we reach the Public Market, where we'll have a short break to try local snacks and drinks like 'pastel', 'garapa', 'caipirinha' or local beers. It is also the chance for you to buy local products and souvenirs and for us to get to know each other better. After this short break, we'll explore important landmarks for the black and the artist communities in Florianopolis. We'll finish the experience with a little surprise at Miramar Memorial. Before saying goodbye, I will give you suggestions of what to do after the tour and maybe even join you at one of the city's best bars.

Informative walking tour

Issac gave us a lot of information about the city, the history, the architecture. His English is perfect and we could ask him anything. He is a very enthusiastic young man which made the tour enjoyable. We enjoyed the surprise at the end of the tour. Well worth it.

A Must-do When Visiting Floripa!

Incredible tour. We got to see many of Floripa's highlights in a thoughtful way. Issac is clearly an expert and very engaging. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Floripa and passionate about what he does. This tour is an incredible value and a must-do when visiting Floripa.
