Overview

This walking food tour is designed to experience some of the best food and wine in Milan, while discovering the two souls of this city: on the one side the old and traditional; and on the other the innovative, bustling and experimental. You will taste dishes coming from centuries-long traditions, such as the renowned Risotto alla Milanese; you will hear about the production of the famous Franciacorta wine while sipping it; but you will also explore hidden venues, gems known only to locals for the quality of their dishes. The best local specialities are paired with great wines. This is a journey between future and past, an incredibly tasty discovery of Milanese food walking through the most interesting boroughs of Milan. The tour includes four food stops. First stop: wine and appetizers. Second stop: Risotto alla Milanese and pasta. Third stop: meat and cheese bites at the local market (only when open) or in alternative, cold cuts and cheese in a local restaurant. Last stop is dessert.

Wonderful tour. Francesca was an excellent guide and had so much knowledge! The food was excellent and gave us a brilliant introduction to Milan. We loved that we visited out of the way and not obvious places.

This food tasting tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Marie was personable, knowledgeable and provided us with not only history but also a wonderful selection of food tastings which were at places we would not have noticed by ourselves. WE higly recommend this tour!!!!

Marie Christina was friendly, informative and a pleasure to walk around with. My husband and I felt relaxed, unhurried, comfortable and she was inclusive with the entire group. The food were things we probably wouldn’t order on our own so it was great for us to try different things.
