Volcanos, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beaches

Our tour guide Dexter was excellent. Knowledgeable and Authentic. He took pictures, he helped us on and off the bus. He shared his love for the island, it's people and it's many treasures, with us like we were family. Witnessing yhe active eruption of the Volcano was a once in a lifetime experience. The short hikes to see the lava tubes, and the beautiful waterfalls, were great, and writing our names in the black sand beach, if only for a few moments was a magical memory.

Volcanos National Park Adventure

Our guide and driver Dexter was very knowledgeable of local flora, fauna and Hawaiian history. The tour covered all the major sights on the Hilo side of the big island including Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls with the main event being the volcanos national park. The bus has a capacity of 16 people so is smaller which makes the whole experience feel more intimate. The day started at 7.30am and finished around 5pm. We were lucky enough to see Kileuea erupting when we visited!

Gabriel was our tour guide for the Hilo waterfalls and garden tour thru Princess cruiseline. He did a great job with history and culture of Hawaii.. it was an awesome tour.

The visit to the Volcano National Park was exponentially better because our driver / tour guide Gabriel provided insights on what we were seeing throughout the bus ride from the pier terminal to the park, plus he kept us entertained with a great sense of humor. If you take this tour, ride with Gabriel!

Great experience information great stories and leaned alot. Would do it again the sites were gorgeous. The zoo and garden was awesome. Air conditioned bus.
