Overview
The cruise starts at 8:30am every morning from Tonle Sap to the Mekong and Chaktomuk rivers, where four major water courses meet. During the trip, you can enjoy the view along the riverside with fresh air and the unique lifestyle of people living on the water (floating houses). After having traveled by the cruise for 1 hour, you will arrive at Oknha Tei island. Then, you will continue your trip by Tuk Tuk to see the village school, Pagoda, Kromuon market and farming which people make by season. After that, you will continue to Silk Island, where you can learn how to grow silkworms to produce silk, how to take silk from the silkworm and the loom in the community of Silk Island.

Very good info from local guide. Very interesting to see how silk cloth is created from silk worms, even though touching them was not what my wife wanted.

We had the ferry all to ourselves, as well as the tour guide. He was very informative, and the process we witnessed from silk worms to finished cloth was mind boggling! Amazing stuff.

Very nice tour out of the city to Silk Island. I travelled solo so I wasn’t able to take the cruise over but Chamka Sne Cruise Tours still accommodated me with pick up and drop off tuktuk service. They were very accommodating which was very nice. Silk Island was definitely worth the visit and it was nice to spend the morning learning about silk and textile production. After the tour of Silk Island my driver took me around the island a little bit so I could take some photos. Because I had already been to the Golden Temple, my driver took me to see the Vietnam Friendship memorial. Great experience and I would highly recommend booking with Chamka Sne Cruise!
