Overview

First we stop to admire the views over the Forth Bridges from South Queensferry before continuing to Linlithgow Palace with its rich and varied history. Then we take the 'Royal Route' to Stirling Castle and explore the ancient royal seat of Scotland. Learn the varied history of the Stuart Royals and the great battles of the middle-ages that were fought nearby. Travel on to the National Park and explore the idyllic Loch Lomond with its calm waters that make way to dramatic highland scenery. Visit the conservation village of Luss and hear the local stories from hundreds of years of tradition. The private tour is conduced in our luxury Mercedes minivans that comfortably accommodate up to 6 passengers. Your passionate Driver-guide will bring the day to live with stories and living history and will personally escort you to all monuments and locations. Each itinerary is entirely customisable so if there is something specific you would like to see along the route please let us know!

  • South Queensferry

    We stop here to take in the view of 'The Three Bridges', a stunning collection of road and railway bridges with a long and interesting history.

  • Linlithgow Palace

    We visit this interesting ruined Palace and view it from the exterior. Linlithgow is the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and has a long and complex history that you will hear about from the historic peel.

  • The Kelpies & The Helix (Pass By)

    We will drive past the impressive Kelpies public art installation as we travel to and from Stirling. These impressive statues of Clydesdale horse heads tower 30 meters above the Canal basin as we drive along the Royal Route.

  • Stirling Castle

    We visit Stirling Castle at the top of Castle Hill. With breathtaking views across the carse of Stirling and a rich history. We will explore the entire castle including Great Hall and Royal Apartments on a walking tour of the castle with your guide.

  • Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park (Pass By)

    We will drive through the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park which has beautiful scenery. This is a remove area of Scotland and often referred to as 'The Highlands in Miniature'. There are many photo opportunities along this route.

  • The David Stirling Memorial

    We stop to take in the views over The Trossachs area and learn about local man David Stirling and his huge contribution to World War 2.

  • Doune Castle

    We will visit medieval Doune Castle, arguably Scotland's most famous caslte. Doune has been used in Monty Python, Game of Thrones and Outlander. It also has an interesting past and notable architecture.

  • Trossachs (Pass By)

    We drive through the picturesque Trossachs area, described as 'the highlands in miniature'. We also pass by Scotland's only Lake!

  • Balmaha

    We stop at the picturesque loch-side village of Luss. We see the beautiful Loch Lomond and explore the coastline after lunch at a local historic tavern serving great Scottish food and beer.

Sweetest tour guide and nice Mercedes

Such a nice tour lady - and beautiful Mercedes van to ride in. Sterling caste was cool and lots is costumes. The loch was pretty to see and we ate some good Scottish food.

We really enjoyed the coordination by Sandy of Experienced Tours and the tour with Ben Walace. We enjoyed our full day family outing in the private Mercedes van. We were able to enjoy a view Edinburgh from Nelson Monument, the Kelpies, the Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle, enjoyed great Scottish lunch at the Oak Tree pub, walking Loch Lomond, and finally touring Glengoyne Distillery. So many wonderful places to experience in one day.
