Overview

The one day tour to Machu Picchu, will take us to one of the most incredible train trips in the world. All this will be through beautiful landscapes that are located along the Urubamba river, until arriving very early at cloud forest where the small town of Aguas Calientes is located. For this trip, there will be no more than 8 people in the group, so we can be in much closer contact with the guide and understand the explanations in a better way.

Itinerary

  • Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu

    To start our Machu Picchu Tour we will pick you up from your hotel and leave from Cusco very early in the morning, we’ll travel by turistic private van to the living town of “Ollantaytambo” in the Sacred Valley where we’ll board our train to Aguas Calientes. With beautiful scenery throughout the journey the train journey itself is an experience. Following the course of the river down the Sacred Valley you’ll arrive to Aguas Calientes. Upon your arrived to Aguas Calientes town, our tour guide will be there to greet you and take you to the bus station to head straight up to Machu Picchu “one of the seven wonder” for your guided tour. The tour lasts for about 2½ hours during which you’ll learn about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel. Later in the afternoon you take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes where you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then carry on by turistic private bus to Cusco. (The tour ends in your hotel)

Machu Picchu with Inkayni

Have been in many places of the world and listen to many guides . Most of them are common but Wilbert was by far the most passionate, informed and with a credible answer for any question . He talked in such a way that was easy to follow and understand about the inca culture . Never in too many words and never something boring . And a great photografer too .

We had an incredible time at Machu Picchu. Our guide Wilbur was incredibly informative, fun and a great photographer! Wilbur also guided us through Chinchero, Moray and Maras. We would have never seen so much of Peru in such a short amount of time without Wilbur and Inkayni Tours. Thanks again for an amazing week!

This was a highlight of our trip to Peru! Our guide for this portion of the trip, Anthony, was by far the most knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely enjoyable guide we have ever had. His knowledge of history, local life, and nature made the tour an absolutely unforgettable experience. He had amazing story telling skills and was able to customize the trip to meet the desires and abilities of every member of the group. When we come back to Peru, we will be requesting Anthony specifically because we know he will ensure an outstanding trip. Similarly, our driver Rony, did an absolutely amazing job getting us to each destination safely (quite a feat in Peruvian traffic) and we will miss him and his great music. Overall, this expedition was fantastic and we cannot recommend it enough!

Going to Machu Picchu with Anthony as our guide was incredible. We were able to tailor the experience to how we wanted it and learned so much! I can not think of any way my Machu Picchu experience could have been better.
