Itinerary

Centro Historico De Cusco (Pass By)

The tour begins by picking you up from your hotel early in the morning(from 04:30 to 06:30 am approx) depending on the train option you like (Expedition / Voyager or Vistadome) and the train availability (from may to September we can not ensure the option you choose, but will be the most convenient for you) , from Cusco City you will go to the train station of Ollantaytambo for an hour and a half by a private car.
Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo (Pass By)

From this traditional town, we take the train to “Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu Town” during 1 hour and 45 minutes, enjoying the most amazing views during the trip.
Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes) (Pass By)

Once we reach the train station, a representative of KANTU PERU TOURS, will wait for us, and take us to the bus station, where we will travel for half an hour more, towards the main entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu

Once you arrive, our guide will wait for you at the bus station to start our private guided tour for 2:30 hours approx, visiting the most important places within the Inca city, then you will have free extra minutes to explore Machu Picchu on your own (following the circuit to the exit), after leaving Machu Picchu Inca Site you will have to take the bus back to “Aguas Calientes Town” by your own and then to go to our restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious lunch(appetizer and main course), finishing enjoying the best of the Peruvian food you will take by your own the train back to the station of Ollantaytambo or Poroy (according to the train availability), after travelling 1:45 hrs to Ollantaytambo or 3:30 hrs to Poroy, a representative of KANTU PERU TOURS will take us back to the imperial city of Cusco, Arriving at night (from 5:30 to 9:30 pm) to our respective hotel. NOTE: Cusco pick-up times may change without prior notice, depending on the availability of trains and entrance tickets to Machupicchu, where Kantu Peru Tours chooses the ones that best adapt to the availability in order to provide the same experience and amount of hours in Machupicchu without hurry. If the reservation is made one week before the travel date, the client will be notified in case the tour time is too short or too long).

Great Machu Picchu tour

Kantu Tours is reliable. The tour was fairly complicated, with a long drive to the station, then the train journey and finally a half hour bus ride up the mountain. However, Franklin at Kantu Tours was available on Whatsapp every step of the way, to communicate with the guides/drivers and ensure that the trip ran smoothly. Machu Picchu is absolutely stunning.

Had a great experience with Kantu Peru Tours for a private tour of Machu Picchu. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the coordinator communicated very well.

Breathtaking Views after long day of travel

The 2.5 hrs inside Machu Piccu historical area were fabulous. Our guide took us to many areas for photos and archeological perspectives. I would not recommend the full day from Cusco due to the hassle of car to train to bus, this was stressful and prone to error. Kantu tours did a good job of spacing out the travel tickets, but it is a very long day of travel. If we did this again I would suggest an overnight stay closer to the park since the driven from Cusco 2 ways is punishing.

The most seamless tour to the most breathtaking place!

Kantu Tours made this entire experience as convenient as possible. Raul picked us up at our hotel at the scheduled time and brought us to and from Ollantaytambo (where we took the train to Machu Picchu). The train was comfortable and the stewards offered us great snacks, drinks, and knowledge throughout the journey. Our tour guide, Harold, then picked us up at Machu Picchu and took us on the tour. He was very knowledgeable and anticipated many of our questions. He was kind enough to offer to take plenty of photos for us throughout the tour and took us to the best spots to take the best photos. Overall, we had a fantastic day and we highly recommend it! Hoping we are able to go on this tour again with our extended family and are able to have Harold as our tour guide once again!
