With easy-to-follow techniques and ski-shoe gear provided, this 3-hour tour is suitable for beginners and experts alike. You’ll learn about Quebec forest, area's history, culture and nature along the way from your experienced guide and you'll capture great photos of the winter landscape. Ski-shoeing equipment, round-trip hotel transport and lunch are included on this small-group tour.

Itinerary

A ski-shoeing hike (Ski-Hok) to discover a little-known territory of the Jacques-Cartier National Park as well as to become familiar with this activity. Explore winter landscape on a ski-shoeing hike, a mix between cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, for a memorable experience in this wilderness. Important, it’s NOT a snowshoeing tour. The first kilometres will allow you to get the proper equipment and the technique of travel, which will take us to a refuge where we will have a dinner break. Then, we will continue our trek in a zone a little more technical to master the rise and the descent of telemark type before the return to our point of departure. The tour will allow you to properly acquire the equipment and master the technique to venture safely! Come try! Schedule : 9 am : departure from Quebec City 10 am : arrival at the national park 10:30 am : start of the guided activity 2 pm : end of the guided activity 3 pm : departure from the park 4 pm : return to Quebec City

Hard to describe how...

Hard to describe how amazing this experience was. Our guide Lorenzo was the most knowledgeable, most generous, most patient person. He truly is awesome. Highly recommend him. Lunch was cozy and delicious.The park was magical and to top it all off it snowed and we felt like we were in a wonderland.

A 'DON'T MISS' EXPERIENCE

We ended up on the snowshoeing excursion due to the limited snow conditions, but we had a fabulous time! Our guide - Gabrielle - was wonderful welcoming, knowledgeable and so much fun. The snacks brought were thoughtful and delicious and the whole experience was better than we had even imagined.

Beautiful tour BUT difficult and athletically demanding

Beautiful national park with the most stunning views. Went in March and it was not too cold but there was still lots of snow. Our guide was lovely and informative. However, this activity was much more difficult and demanding than I expected. It is best suited for athletic individuals who are not afraid to fall a few times :)
