Overview

Korea's most popular ghost tour! One of the top things to do in Seoul. This is the side of Seoul that you won’t find in the tourism brochures. Take a tour down the dark alleys of Seoul's forgotten 600-year history of bloody massacres, seedy hideaways and mourning ghosts. Self-proclaimed clairvoyants on the tour have reported a few sightings, including a little girl who has been seen following the group around. This is not only a ghost tour, but a walk unearthing Seoul's murky and violent past, making the city much more interesting and intimate. Guests also receive an online map of all the haunts, murder sites, and torture chambers mentioned on the tour. IMPORTANT: Content is rated PG-13. There are some stories of sex & violence. Great Mix of Ghost/Folklore/dark history

My husband and I had an amazing but rainy and windy tour, which only added to the ambiance. I was impressed with Joe's diverse knowledge - it was a great mix of ghost/folklore/dark history while seeing the sights. It felt is was a bit more in-depth than expected! We overall had a great time!

We really enjoyed the Extended Tour with folklorist, Shawn. Due to his excellent storytelling skills, we had creepy fun walking (in the biting cold) around various spots near central Seoul. Highly recommended!

The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the stories in a very engaging way. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Seoul. Shawn’s tour had ghost stories, folk lore, and tidbits of Korean culture and history. Loved it!

I went in late January with 3 friends and we loved the tour. I had previously lived in Seoul and never had a chance to do the tour and I'm so glad I did 2 years later. The tour was very informative and also made you think more about other Korean folklore you might not know. It was very interesting to hear about things that I think of as mundane such as moving houses or going on vacation as having a deeper meaning behind them. Book the tour!

If you're looking for spooky stories, history, culture, and a fun adventure around Seoul this is definitely the tour to book! Our guide Shawn took us all over Seoul giving us great folklore stories, ghost that wander the grounds, and even gave us great tips to be rid of ghost if they were to follow us home! Definitely wished we booked this at the beginning of our trip instead of the end so we can go back and visit the wonderful spots he brought us to but we'll have the photos to live it all over again!
