    The historic center of Segovia is one of the most impressive in Spain. The walled city is located on a mountain where the impressive Roman aqueduct arrives. Inside, its streets are full of monuments and history, the houses have a traditional decoration and the surrounding landscape makes it even more beautiful. Romans, Visigoths, Muslims, Christians and Jews have populated this city for more than 2,000 years, leaving an overwhelming cultural legacy. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in all of Europe.

  • Acueduct of Segovia

    It dates from the 2nd century and is one of the most spectacular Roman monuments in the world. Built by a trajan, its arches reach 28 meters in height, and gives Segovia its most unmistakable silhouette.

  • Casa de los Picos

    One of the oldest houses in the city, it was next to the wall and dates from the 15th century. From here there are also beautiful views of the surroundings.

Some of the most important events in the history of Spain happened in it and its interior houses some of the most beautiful Mudejar roofs that can be found (Mudéjar is a style that incorporates the elements of Islamic art into Christian works and is unique to Spain )

Great storytelling, worth every penny

Jose’s story telling was so engaging and informative. Since we were a small group , we started at the beautiful Alcazar and then worked our way downhill to the cathedral and aqueduct. Coach tours start at the aqueduct and walk uphill. We wandered the streets and learned about the people who have lived in Segovia and saw the architectural influences of the Moors. This tour has been the highlight of our trip.

Our tour guide Jose has a talent for story telling that made the history of Segovia and Spain so engaging. Jose customized the tour to our interests. In addition to the renown Alcazar, Catedral, and Aqueduct, we wandered the streets learning about the lives and architectural influence of the various groups who have lived in Segovia. Since our group was small, a thoughtful touch was to start at the top of the hill at the Alcazar and walk downhill to the other sites. Coaches have to start at the bottom and people walk up the hill. Jesus our driver was also very polite and did a great job navigated the winding narrow streets of Segovia.. This tour was worth every penny and is a highlight of our trip.
