Extremely informative tour. Amazing guide. She did an outstanding job. Learned a lot from this guided tour. Left the tour with a wealth of knowledge regarding my ancestors & what life was like for them after they arrived to this country.

Wonderful Storied Tour of Savannah

This guided bus tour was an emotional experience, learning about the other side of Savannah’s history that is not rightly acknowledged by the city. It takes you through the city, including the riverfront and many beautiful squares, and tells the story of slavery. The guide is a “truth-teller” who mixes her own personal stories into the history of Savannah and its dependence on slaves. It is a very powerful tour, and I enjoyed our guide’s genuine approach to the story.

Highlight of our trip to Savannah. Recommend you do this early on your trip. There are a lot of places you will want to go back and spend time taking in the history (and how it is and is not acknowledged by the city of Savannah). Bryan Stevenson posits that that first there needs to be truth and then there can be reconciliation. Sister Pat provides the truth.
