Overview

The Whole City in Half A Day + Kinderdijk Tour, gives you a beautifull combination of a vibrant city and a unique traditional Dutch world Heritage cite. We will start the day with a cup of coffee or tea. After that we will go by boat to the beuatifull Dutch world Heritage site of Kinderdijk. Here we will discover this Dutch landscape by bike (or walking if you can't ride a bike). We will also go inside in one of the historical windmills. After we go back to Rotterdam by boat, you will be taken to the familiar and unknown places in the versatile city of Rotterdam. The tour is all inclusive and we have a no-wallet policy. This means that we pay for all the expenses (like food, drinks, entrance tickets, transportation, etc.) In that way you can just enjoy the tour. The tour is also flexible, we can adjust the tour based on your preferences and during the tour we will walk at your pace. So no rushing and stress and a mass of people. We will give you just a nice and memorable day!

  • World Heritage Kinderdijk

    Kinderdijk, a World Heritage site with 19 windmills dating from the 18th century. Besides the windmills you will see how a typical Dutch landscapes look.

  • Erasmus Bridge (Pass By)

    The Erasmus Bridge is next to the Willemsbrug the second bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in the center of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam and is named after the Dutch priest and humanist Erasmus. The bridge connects the Kop van Zuid district with the center on the north side of the river.

    Rotterdam Central Station, one of the busiest places in Rotterdam. Renowned for its beautifull architecture.

    Delftsche Poort was a city gate of Rotterdam, the latter of which was built in 1764 after a design by architect Pieter de Swart. It was already the third gate in that place: the previous two had been demolished due to a short-term construction.

  • Museumpark Rotterdam uit 1927

    The Museum Park is located between the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the Westersingel, the Westzeedijk and the Erasmus MC complex. It lies on the former estate of the Hoboken family, who lived there in the Villa Dijkzigt; the Natural History Museum Rotterdam has been housed in the villa since 1987.

  • Witte de Withstraat

    De Witte de Withstraat is a nightlife street in Rotterdam with cafes, restaurants, art galleries, various shops and municipal monuments. The street connects the Schiedamse Vest with the Eendrachtsweg. The street was named in 1871 after the Rotterdam fleetmaster Witte Cornelisz. de With (1599 - 1658). In the seventies the street had a bad reputation in connection with the many shady cafes and illegal gambling houses. In the 1990s, an extensive metamorphosis was set in motion as part of the Art Axis that links the Museum Park and the Maritime Museum.

Jareau gave us a first class, private tour of Rotterdam. He took care of all the details from the transportation and admission fees, food and drink. He was very knowledgeable. We got a great perspective of the city as we explored with subway, boats and lots of walking. He let us determine the pace of the tour and we learned so much having a personal guide. Our guide, Julia, was fabulous. She was a pleasure to spend the day with. The city tour was comprehensive and Julia is very knowledgeable. I had a list of places that we wanted to visit and she covered them all plus a few that I was not aware of. Sights, snacks and lunch were included. Then the Water Bus to Kinderdijk - a relaxing 40 minute ride after much walking in the city. Loved seeing the Windmills and Julia guided us through the area. A Great day with the Perfect guide. The description of the tour didn't note that it is mostly a walking tour. As older adults, this was a challenge for us. To her credit, the guide accommodated us by converting to an auto tour for much of the day. She even used her own car to drive us. Her knowledge of the area is superb.
