Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at Piazza Trilussa, by the statue of Trilussa on the right side of the square (with the river behind you).

    Meet your expert catacombs guide in central Rome. After a brief introduction, follow them to your private, air-conditioned minibus for your journey into the underworld of the early Christians. It's just a short 30-minute drive to your first stop.

    It’s easy to miss this 16th century church tucked down an alley, but your expert guide knows the fascinating history that lies beneath your feet. After a brief introduction from your guide, they will ring the doorbell and wait for a nun to escort you and your small group into the church for an exclusive visit. You’ll follow the nun down a short flight of stairs into the crypt, revealing the bones and remains of thousands of individuals in a jaw-dropping display of life and death. A Great Short Tour

Antonella was an amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable and passionate about Roman history. I really enjoyed this tour. We started with a short walk from the meeting point to a beautiful church with a bone crypt. Very interesting and Antonella gave us great, interesting information and broke it down so it was easy to understand. She didn’t just rattle off facts - she told stories and gave background. Next we boarded a bus and drove for about 30 minutes to the Catacomb of San Sebastian. Fascinating tour led by a Vatican guide. Antonella met us in the church when we were done with the catacomb tour and filled in some other information for us. Then it was back on the bus and back to the meeting point. It was a quick tour overall - only 3 hours - but a good tour nonetheless. Antonella pointed out things on the bus as we were driving, so there was some great sightseeing, too.

We took the Rome underground tour with crypts and catacombs with Antonella on 10/7. She was an amazing guide! She was knowledgeable and kind. She gave all the great information. And made this tour very fun. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!
