This kid-centric Catacombs Treasure Hunt Tour is the perfect way to keep your entire family entertained while uncovering underground Rome! Your guide will meet you at your central hotel and escort you with your driver to the start of the tour. Your private child-friendly guide will then take you on a journey through centuries of burial rituals and archaeological wonders. Your kids will feel like archeologists with a treasure map in their hands as your guide takes you on an exploration through some of the most fascinating sites in Rome! They will answer questions and discover hidden secrets throughout the tour keeping them engaged and having fun. With your expert family friendly guide and your treasure hunt maps, wander through the dark tunnels and passageways and learn about ancient Christian traditions as the kids listen carefully for riddles and clues.

You will be escorted by your guide and driver to your next stop - the Capuchin Crypts. This fascinating museum houses nearly 8,000 human bones! The children will listen for more clues on their treasure hunt, and receive their prize as the tour comes to an end.

Amazing family experience! Educational, informational, and so so interesting! Highly recommend. Tour was private which was so nice. Great for adults and children and perfect timing, approx 2 1/2 hours long. Tiffany was wonderful!

We had a phenomenal time with Brando this morning!!! He was so engaging with our kids (7, 10, and 12). I couldn’t recommend him or this tour more!

Great tour w Chiara

We had a fantastic day with our guide Chiara. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to make it fun for all. We had 3 kids 15, 11 and 7. Our littlest took to her right away and Chiara was warm and welcoming with her. She explained things very well, spoke great English and was overall one of the better tour guides we’ve had.

Private Catacombs Tour - 3 sites

We had a fascinating and exciting tour around 3 underground sites in Rome with Andy. The Basilica San Clemente was just beautiful and we would never have known the layers deep underneath and discovered the wonderful history buried there without his knowledge. The guidebook doesn’t do it justice. The Catacombs caused great excitement and slight nerves for all of us, including our teenagers which was lovely to see! We went 2 layers underground (a blissful escape from the 38 degrees heat outside!) and explored the burial ground by torchlight which added to the experience. The Capuchin Crypt is a must-see and left us awed. We’ve never seen anything like it. Andy was a wonderful guide - he kept us all entertained (no mean feat with teenagers in tow), had a huge number of facts and interesting stories at his fingertips, answered all our questions and made the experience hugely enjoyable and moving. We learnt a huge amount and had a new appreciation of Rome’s history when we emerged above ground. The private transfers to each place in an air-conditioned car was also appreciated as you cover quite a lot of ground on the tour. A highly recommended experience.

Andy exceeded all expectations. The guy should be in stand up, or running Italy. Totally engaging …all facts remembered by whole party from the 12 year to the decrepit 70 somethings A really entertaining afternoon and a terrific climax to the three tours we had. We wish you all every success
