Explore the winter wonderland of Saariselkä trails! With the big winter tyres you can float over the snowy landscape and the electric motor helps you to get strong legs when you pedal through the magical forest. And you don't need to worry if you are getting lost or not. Our professional guide takes care of you and your group. The route can be customised for your skills and needs. This is a winter biking tour made just for you and your wishes! We customise the route using the Saariselkä cycling paths and winter bike trails. If you can ride a bike, we can find a nice route suitable for you. A silent way to experience the arctic nature. Just the whistling of the wind, and happy laughters sometimes. AND no CO2-emissions to our pure wilderness! Smile on a bike guaranteed.

We meet at Roll Outdoors shop. (Same building with restaurant Skárr.) You can arrive 15 min before the tour start.

Itinerary

    We start the ride from our shop in the middle of the village of Saariselkä. Before the ride, we go through the safety aspects, check the equipment and how the bikes work. Good preparing is the key to successful ride.

  • Urho Kekkonen National Park

    Riding to the gates of the Urho Kekkonen National park is quick on the public roads. Soon after the gate we head to to purpose made winter trails. Concentrate now, if you ride off the track, you'll dive deep in to the powdery snow! That's the moment of the best laughs :) Some of the trails run inside the National Park and part of the trails outside it's borders, but the beautiful nature is the same on both sides.

  • Saariselka

    Most of the time we keep on moving and enjoying the flow. But there is also good time to take photos and capture the best moment of your life time! After approx 1,5 hours of riding the best trails and the most beautiful places on the Earth we head back to village and end the ride to our shop.

    The tour ends to the same premises we left two hours before. To get all the lost calories back, there are many nice restaurants to choose after ride.

Great fat bike tour

Great time with an exceptional guide! Really enjoyed biking on the snowy trails and enjoying the rising sun.

A great ride in the snow

Our family has done some mountain biking during summer so we were excited to try out this tour. Our guide was really thorough and knowledgeable having done mountain biking herself for years. We started off in a difficult path with new and slippery snow, but after some falls and getting used to pedaling in snow it became easier. Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend Roll Outdoors anytime!

The best day of my life

I don’t think I have experienced anything like this! We did the electric fat bike for over 6ams and it was snowing moderately. The guides (Raili and Maiya) very patiently waited for us to pick up riding and we’re helping us with everything. They were also Very friendly and enthusiastic! This was better than the whole aurora experience for us. Must do activity when in Saariselka!!

Great service, a BIG thank you! We rented full-suspension e-bikes for an afternoon in Saariselkä. The service was excellent and friendly. They offered helpful hints on where to go and showed the places on the map. They also gave good advice on how to best operate the bikes. The bikes were high-end Scott bikes. I can warmly recommend and would use again.

Detailled information from friendly staff for 3h route. We selected Moitakuru route that was easy enough for beginner and better to drive counterclockwise. Bikes 2xefat worked well. Will come back.
