We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the picturesque Wachau Valley. Our awesome driver and guide Drako picked us up at our hotel (he was early and the car seemed very new). We first stopped at the famous Melk Abbey. The whole complex and chapel are absolute marvels. We then continued on to the medieval town of Dürnstein, where Richard the Lionhearted was once held captive. Since the weather was gorgeous, the scenery was breathtaking. We finished up the day of touring in the lively market town of Krems. After that we were driven back to Vienna and dropped off right at our hotel.
In sum, an unforgettable day!
