    Build following the Holy mount of Athos grwt Orthodox monasteries, the Rila monastery is the biggest in Bulgaria! Attractive not only for the amazing and extremely rich murals but also beautifully situated in a small and cozy valley along the smal Rila river!

    The uniquely preserved late middle ages Boyana church is one of the best representatives of the pre-Renaissance ideas. A UNESCO world heritage since 1979!

    Taking the road further up pass the monastery in 4 km we will stop the car and will hike for 15 mins. until we reach the Chapel Assumption of St. John next to the cave where he used to live for 7 years.

Beyond being knowledgeable about Balkans/Bulgarian history, culture and local hidden gems, he could explain key information regarding Bulgarian food and cosmetic industry processes.
