Pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town by a private tour guide/driver in a private vehicle as we set off for a full day private guided tour. Today's tour is fully customisable. However, to give you an idea of what can be done, the following attractions have been highlighted...
Enjoy a 30-minute city orientation tour including a stop in the Bo-Kaap to take a photo with the colourful houses. Your personal guide will share stories about the significance of the colourful houses.
30 minutes
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camp's Bay and stop at Maiden's Cove viewpoint for spectacular photos with pristine beaches and glistening mountains.
20 minutes
An optional stop at the World of Birds sanctuary in Hout Bay will be on offer. World of Birds is the largest bird park in Africa and one of the few large bird parks in the World, with more than 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious landscaped walk through aviaries, allowing you the most intimate closeness with nature.
30 minutes
We proceed along the coastal Atlantic route and stop in Hout Bay at the Harbour. Here you may enjoy the option of either taking a 45-minute boat trip to Duiker (Seal) Island to view the seals colony or you may browse the local arts and crafts market to do some shopping.
1 hour
Charter the boat with Drumbeat Charters and enjoy a shared boat adventure to Duiker (Seal) Island for a close up view of the Cape Fur seals colony. The entire experience lasts for 45-minutes including the journey to and from Duiker Island. We do not recommend this activity if the weather is unfavourable as the ocean can be rough and make for an unpleasant experience.
1 hour
Chapman's Peak is known as one of the most scenic tour routes in the world. "Chappies", as it is often referred to by locals, makes for breathtaking views and photographic opportunities. Benefit from a stop at the Chapman's Peak viewpoint to take a few photos.
20 minutes
A delightful opportunity will be on offer to stop at the picturesque Cape Point Vineyards for a wine tasting of exceptional white wine and scenic beauty. Nestled between mountains and oceans, Cape Point Vineyards is known for their award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend.
1 hour
The South African Naval base is situated in Simon's Town. An optional stop here to meet the monument of Just Nuisance and hear his enchanting story of how a Great Dane Dog made a name for himself in the South African Navy.
10 minutes
A stop at Boulder's Penguin Colony comes highly recommended as visitors from all over the world travel to see these enchanting African Penguins in their natural habitat. Take a walk along the boardwalk to view up to 2500 penguins in their natural habitat.
1 hour
The highlight of the day would essentially be the Cape of Good Hope as we will explore the Diaz and Da Gama monuments and take our iconic photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. It is believed that visiting Cape Town and skipping the Cape of Good Hope is like visiting Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower!
1 hour
Take a short hike from the Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point lighthouse and see the meeting point of the two oceans currents: Cold Benguela and Warm Agulhas currents. The Two Oceans Restaurant comes highly recommended for an optional lunch, with panoramic views of the ocean.
2 hours
The Muizenberg colourful beach huts can be seen in the distance as we make our way back to Cape Town along the False Bay coastal road and via the Ou Kaapse Weg.
Drop off will be at your accommodation in Cape Town after the tour or at a restaurant of your choice if you have a dinner reservation, within the City bowl area.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

Clear filterLovely private day tour with an informed guide
Published on Jul, 2024
We enjoyed our private tour with Ruben. He was on time to our hotel, confirmed what things we wanted to see and do, and immediately started out giving us background on the city, country and what we were going to see. Ruben’s encyclopedic knowledge of dates (down to the specific day/ not just the year!) added to the information he shared about each and every site. In addition he was enthusiastic about finding us ideal photo spots and taking as many pictures as we wanted. As Table Mountain was closed for upkeep, he offered to take us over to Signal Point and went above and beyond with recommendations and information. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Ruben!
The Experience of a Lifetime
Published on Apr, 2023
Alex, our very capable, professional, and highly educated driver, provided us with a delightful first day in Cape Town. He kindly followed the ideas we had and added his own! We saw the city of Cape Town and its surroundings, like Bo Kapp, Chapman’s Peak, the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, and the Penguins at Boulder. Alex was our photographer as well as our guide and took outstanding photos of us with dramatic backgrounds! We welcomed him at lunch at Two Oceans and at lunch and throughout the day, we enjoyed his company and getting to know him. He is so well versed in the history of South Africa and we learned so much from Alex! We recommend him 1000 percent!! We saw everything in the luxury of a Mercedes and it was an easy and pleasant day. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.
