First off I want to start my review by prefacing that we visited Hvar the last week of October/first week of November, which is Hvar’s off-season. Prior to coming to Hvar I had reached out to multiple boat rental companies and they had all said they were done for the season, and 2 of them recommended reaching out to a wonderful company called Mario Rent. So I reached out and from the first email they were so friendly and accommodating. They let me know all of my options, mentioning that the Blue Caves may not be open past Oct 31st but they could accommodate another beautiful route for us. I booked that day with a small deposit that was refunded the day we took the tour and we were all set for our boat day once we got there.
We showed up for our boat tour at 9am and the manager/owner was at the office and she gave us the amazing news that they upgraded us, free of charge to a larger boat (that was double the price of the one we originally booked). We had booked the Aquamax 23, but they upgrade us to the Felix 40. There were only 2 of us so that was very unexpected and we were so thankful and happy about that! The next piece of amazing news was that the Blue Caves were still open that day so we were about to do the Blue Cave route.
From the start of our boat day to the end, it was all amazing. Our captain, Pope, was so knowledgeable and skilled at driving the boat. We had such a perfect day going to the Blue Cave, swimming in the Green Cave, stopping at the Blue Lagoon for more swimming and we even got to stop at the old military caves on Vis Islands.
I couldn’t recommend them enough, such a great company!
