We had an incredible experience with Mumbai Dream Tours and our guide, Rakesh! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable.
Our tour began at Victoria Station (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), where Rakesh shared the fascinating history of this iconic building and the background of the area we were staying in. From there, we explored Crawford Market, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
On our way to the Gateway of India, Rakesh captivated us with stories of Mumbai's history—from its Portuguese origins and how it got its name to the British rule and beyond. We also visited the Taj Hotel area, an architectural marvel, and then made our way to the iconic Dhobi Ghat, where we got a glimpse of the city's bustling open-air laundry system.
The highlight of our tour was undoubtedly the visit to Dharavi Slums. It was an eye-opening experience that gave us a new perspective on the resilience and industriousness of the people there. Rakesh, being a local, provided incredible insights, making the experience respectful, educational, and memorable.
The car provided for the tour was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the driver was excellent, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey throughout the day.
