    West Tour Beautiful valley on the southwestern coast of the islan. Its main economic activity is agriculture; from the cultivation of land comes sweet potatoes, beans, vegetables, some cereal, fruit and wine.

    West Tour we passed through Ponta do Sol to start an off-road to Paul On this route we will cross the eucalyptus forest At the end of this path we will have a fantastic view and we will stop to take pictures and enjoy the silence of our mountains

    West Tour Fishermen Village beautiful bay with their picturesque and very distinctive boats. The former British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, painted this exceptional portrait when he visited the island on 8th January 1950.

Best of the North West by an amazing guide

Edgar was the best tour guide * have ever had and I have been to various countries. He has tremendous knowledge of Madeira and showed us the North West of Madeira in a full day long trip. He also catered to my request of going to Achadas da Cruz cable car which was in the west part of the island. My family enjoyed his detailed descriptions of flora we found on the way too. Will repeat again with AlwaysMadeira anytime. Highly recommend!!!!

We’ve been so lucky to choose Always Madeira for our private tour of the north-west of the island. The views and beauty of this island speak for themselves but to have a guide like Edgar is that cherry on the top. Fascinating day, full of excitement, breathtaking views and all this with the narrative of someone who’s bread and born on this piece of paradise. What could be a better mix? Great Time exploring Madeira!

James picked us up at the port. It was very easy to find him. We did the 4x4 Northwest tour. He was very friendly and wanted to make sure we got to see what we wanted to. His driving was great and he even took us for some off roading. Our time went so quickly! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Madeira and James really helped make our day great! We would love to come back and do the East side tour next time

Madeira with Edgar, nothing could be better

Edgar was so resourceful and quick to find us and pick us up, even though we had gone to the wrong pick up spot. From there he mapped our day in a unique sequence so that we could see the natural pools at a time that was less busy. Edgar knows so much detail about the region and shares interesting insights. It’s clear that he truly loves Madeira inside and out. We saw the most incredible things. He drives very safely and we trusted him. Our day with Edgar was one of our favorites from our whole trip. We would definitely recommend this incredible, kind person to host your Madeira adventures.

Fantastic trip to the west coast

I’ve been at Madeira in August 2024 just for a couple days to celebrate my BS, so the best way to explore island was a private tour, especially with the fire situation on island it was the most convenient and easiest plan. After some search I found 4x4 jeep private tour, and never regret for my choice. Edgar showed me such a beautiful places, told many interesting things about an island, he planned trip based on my wishes and in general was an absolutely amazing companion. You can ask advices about other places and be inspired his deep sincere love to the island. I highly recommend 4x4 Jeep tour, especially Edgar! Thank you for the fantastic memories.
