This fun filled half-day tour is ideal for families with children, couples or a group of friends. Starting at Katakolon port, board your mini bus and enjoy a 35-minute scenic drive through the Greek countryside as you listen the live comentary of the vast history of the area. Upon arrival to Olympia, enjoy a guided tour with a local expert and feel like ancient athletes. Become a part of ancient Greek history and crown yourself winner!     The highlight of this half-day tour is the time spent on an endless sandy beach. Swimming is recommended as sunbeds and umbrellas are available in the area at no extra cost (Minimum consumption is required). Changing cabinets, showers, Wi-Fi are also available free of charge.

  • Katakolo

    Wrap up your tour by returning to the port of Katakolon. Choose between whether you wish to be droped-off at the town and enjoy some extra time in t he small fishing village or return to the ship.

The wonders of Olympia

We would always recommend a small group tour if at all possible. Our guide was informative and engaging while giving us as much time as possible to enjoy specific stops on our own. Each stop was interesting and in particular, Olympia. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered the numerous questions we all had about this amazing part of world history. Especially considering the Paris Summer Olympics recently wrapped up. Our visit to the Olive Oil shop in the town of Olympia cool and the beach stop with time for a drink and a light bite while wading in the Aegean Sea just wonderful. Our favorite Viator trip while on our cruise.

Driver Andreas was excellent driver and guide. Loved the olive oil tasting stop as an extra. Beach was beautiful and refreshing. Great archeologist guide at Olympia site. Highly recommended

Olympia was just amazing. Our tour guide was kind, extremely knowledgeable, and made the tour highly interesting. She went out of her way to help us in any way she could. They could have cancelled us due to low attendance, but instead they sent a private driver to the cruise port to pick us up. Our driver, Costas, was extremely warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a choice of beaches and the one we chose was beautiful. Everyone that worked for this tour company was wonderful and we had a lovely time.

I loved seeing the original spot of the Olympics, where they light the torch to this day every 2 years. Our guides were great and it was not a long boring tour ! Just enough time
