Immerse yourself in nature and discover the wild beauty of Cerro Ancón... Just a few minutes from the city center and at the best time of the morning! The panoramic view from the top of Cerro Ancón is breathtaking, allowing you to see Panama City, the Pacific Ocean and the Panama Canal from a unique perspective! Hopefully and patiently we will have the opportunity to see different species of animals such as birds, sloths and monkeys. The walk is moderate and can be done between 2 and 3 hours on the way up and down. This tour is for those looking for an authentic and unique experience of total connection with nature. Fresh air, the sound of nature and breathtaking views are a perfect match for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. In addition, the tour is designed to suit different ages and physical abilities. Experience the connection with nature just minutes from the city! We accept reservations from one person.

    We will start our walk along the palm tree promenade, known as Paseo del Prado until we reach the Goethals Monument, where we will learn an interesting story about this place. Here is included the time it will take to move to Paseo del Prado and park to start the adventure.

    We arrive at the Goethals Monument where we will learn about the design and creation of the Panama Canal Administration building, we will also be able to appreciate captivating views of the Canal Administration building and its surroundings. And with luck we will be able to see different animals such as ñeques, diversity of birds and even deer.

    We started the challenge, we reached the largest stairs in Panama City! We will climb more than 100 steps to reach the terrace of the Administration Building and be able to admire the landscape from various points of the city and continue our way towards the imposing Ancón Hill.

  • Ancon Hill

    After visiting the Panama Canal Administration Building, we will begin to enter the tropical jungle, where you can admire the exuberant vegetation and wildlife. As we go up the trail, the landscape changes to an impressive panoramic view of Panama City. The panoramic view from the top of Cerro Ancón is impressive, it will allow you to see Panama City and the Ocean from a unique perspective! Once at the top, we will show you interesting sites and tell you about the history and importance of Cerro Ancón in the construction of the Panama Canal and its ecological importance. Here is included the time it will take to go up and down Ancón Hill and get back to the car to move to your place of stay.

Great combination of history and nature

Mario was a very attentive and engaging guide. His love of Panama shines through. After our walk up Anton Hill and around part of the Canal Zone, I feel I understand Panama’s history a little better. We were lucky enough to see two sloths and some tamarind monkeys. Views well worth the uphill walk (but it’s slow and gentle).
