Overview

By visiting the performance you will be taken back to Mozart’s time. Enjoy an evening likely to have taken place in 1790 - in the Baroque Hall lit by candles, having a dinner based on historical recipes, listening to a concert with musicians in authentic costumes and the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The venue, St. Peter Stiftskulinarium is the oldest restaurant in middle Europe and even Mozart and his family used to dine there. Dress Code: smart casual, admission until 7:15pm

    You are entertained by live opera performances featuring arias and duets from "The Magic Flute", "Figaro' wedding" and "Don Giovanni" as well as "A Little Night Music". During concert breaks you enjoy dinner in one of Europe’s oldest restaurants - St. Peter Stiftskulinarium - first mentioned in a document in 803. This picturesque setting of the candlelit Baroque Hall is located in the heart of Salzburg's old town. The three-course meal is inspired by historical recipes from the 1700s, so you try dishes that you wouldn’t usually make at home. Musicians of the Amadeus Consort Salzburg, consisting of an exquisite chamber ensemble and two opera-singers, all dressed in authentic Rokoko costumes, inspire with a lively and first-class show.

I had the most incredible experience at the Mozart Dinner Concert, where I planned my proposal. The team was very supportive and helped me organize everything perfectly. The singer was part of the proposal, and her beautiful performance made the moment so special. The setting, with the music and the enchanting atmosphere, could not have been better. My partner was completely surprised and overjoyed — it was everything I expected and more. Thank you so much for making this moment unforgettable! From my fiancé: what a special moment! Mozart in Salzburg with schnitzel on the side!

This was a lovely event. We got there about 7 pm and we're seated immediately. I was able to get a schnitzel and fries ordered for my picky eater opera fan, but we enjoyed our traditional meal just as much! The cocktails were also quit tasty! And the music was divine!! Beautiful singers and wonderful musicians. A great night!

One of the highlights of our trip to Salzburg was the Mozart Dinner Concert at St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, the oldest restaurant in Europe (built in 803 AD). The evening was magical, blending history, exceptional food, and stunning music. The courses were interspersed with live performances of Mozart’s masterpieces, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the price was surprisingly reasonable for such a unique experience. If you’re in Salzburg, this is a must-do for music and history lovers alike!

high quality experience

Good entertainment for the family. Can be tenuous with children but we put some work in ahead of time and during the performances/discussed Mozart and had our 14 year old follow along in the program in both italian and english. The food was good (we had high expectations and it was fitting for a nice restaurant). The star of the show is the opera singer (from Brazil, trianed in the US and Europe) who is also a professor at the Mozart music univerisity in Salzberg (with impressive resume). Of course the female singer was also very good! She was from Salzberg. My favorite part: Kids these days may have little opportunity to be exposed to high quality music like this, how fortunate to experience it in such a genuine setting, by performers who clearly love what they do.
