This tour will show you the interior of the most important monuments in Cordoba for almost 4 hours.     Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, one of the primary residences of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon. Enter through the main entrance gate and immerse yourself in the wonderful architecture of the palace, located on the site of a fortress built by the Visigoths and later occupied by the Caliphate of Cordoba.

Conserving the decorative style of an Islamic mosque, construction of the magnificent monument began in the 8th century. Later extensions vastly increased its size, turning it into the second biggest mosque in the world before it became a Catholic cathedral.

Gardens and meeting of cultures

Evening visit to the cathedral mosque. It's huge! Alcazar was interesting. Beautiful gardens. Be careful though as there are trip hazards. Lots of plants that are familiar. Scented wall flowers, roses etc.

Great Day and Very Informative with a Great Tour Guide

This is a great tour to see the highlights of Códoba and Elena, our tour guide, was excellent. She was easily understandable and provided a comprehensive overview, as well as details, of each site. This is a walking tour but, even in mid-May with the highs in the 90's, it was comfortable because the tour starts in the morning and one is almost always in the shade or part-shade.

Marta was an excellent guide, giving a great insight into the Mosque/Cathedral and Synagogue and the local area. It was a very interesting tour. Marta even gave us some great local food and drink ideas.
