The juxtaposition of this concentration camp and its grizzly recent history set in the spectacular Austrian countryside on a beautiful Spring day highlights how human beings are, and always have been, the problem. This tour is not to be be taken lightly but rather reflectively. The small group nature is very appropriate and the tour guide Ben gave the overall experience the added color and interest that meant the day was memorable in so many respects
Knowledgeable guide and moving memorial

We booked the Mauthausen Memorial trip and Ulrich was our guide. He was knowledgeable on the history of the camp and had videos prepped for us to view en route to the memorial.
Additionally, our group had 3 senior citizens, and one experienced difficulties at the Memorial. Ulrich stayed with her to make sure she was comfortable and made arrangements to help the rest of the group get the best information from this memorial. He really went above and beyond a normal tour guide.

A very enlightening day. Tom, our guide, was superb. From the moment we got into the car we learnt so much from him. He was easy to listen to, very well informed and really made the difference to our trip. We would definitely recommend this tour and all the more so if Tom was leading it.
