Overview

We meet you at the Port Chalmers Cruise Ship Terminal for the 'Larnach Castle & Dunedin City Highlights Tour' Stops include: -Dunedin Railway Station (most photographed building in NZ) -Baldwin Street (world's steepest street) -Otago University (NZ's oldest University) -Signal Hill Lookout -Heritage Buildings Plus more After the 'City Highlights Tour' we drop you off at the Octagon in the City Centre. You will have 1 hour of free time for lunch & shopping. Meridian Shopping Mall is 2 blocks away with a Food Court. After lunch we depart on the journey up to the Castle. We take in the magnificent views of the peninsula and make a quick stop at a lookout for a great photo opportunity. On arrival we take you on a guided tour of the Castle with time afterwards to do some of your own exploring or check out the award-winning gardens. You also have the option to visit the Ballroom Cafe for refreshments. (Larnach Castle/Gardens entry fee is included in our tour price) No hidden fees.

    We stop here to view the Clocktower and other heritage buildings. We stop here for 5 mins.

  • Signal Hill

    A magnificent overlook of Dunedin City and the Pacific Ocean. We spend 10 mins here,

  • Baldwin Street: The Steepest Street in the World

    You have time to walk to the top & back. Or you can take photos and view from the bottom of the Street. We stop here for approx. 15 mins.

  • The Octagon

    We stop for lunch & shopping at the Octagon halfway through the Tour. This is free time in the City Centre before we head up to Larnach Castle in the afternoon.

  • Larnach Castle & Gardens

    On arrival we take you on a guided tour of the Castle with time afterwards to do some of you own exploring or check out the award-winning gardens. You also have the option to visit the Ballroom Cafe for refreshments. ($45.00 Castle/Gardens entry fee included).

A Wonderful Day in Dunedin

We had an excellent day in Dunedin with Tim exploring the city and Larnach Castle. We saw Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world, had lunch on the Octagon, etc. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing tour of Dunedin and loved it. Tim was a fantastic guide, so helpful and patient and nothing was too much trouble. He offered to take photos of us at every place we visited. and made sure we got the best possible shots. His commentary, knowledge and passion for Dunedin, and in particular Larnarch Castle was second to none. His planning for the day was exemplary as he planned the day to optimise our experience around the crowds from the cruise ship. Overall a 10/10 experience.
