Overview

Get a crash course in Florence with a local host to get you comfortable in Italy’s sun-soaked Cradle of the Renaissance. See six of Florence’s most exciting central areas, and landmarks like Florence Cathedral, Piazza Santa Felicità, and Via dei Girolami – a vaulted medieval road. Learn stories about the city’s history, like Via dei Calzaioli, the shoemaker’s street where the painter Bronzino got headaches from the noise, and ask your local insider any questions you have – perhaps over an espresso and a crunchy biscotti at Vivoli or Robiglio. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Michele was an excellent guide. We were able to see everything we wanted in 4 hours. His recommendations for food were spot on. He was waiting on us in our hotel lobby prior to the start time. I would 100% use him again and I’ll be recommending him to my friends.

Fabulous Florence tour with Martina

Martina was amazing! She met us at our hotel and gave us a tour of a bunch of different neighborhoods in Florence, sharing the history of the churches and landmarks we passed and pointing out details in the art and architecture that we wouldn't have noticed on our own. It was so nice to be able to go at our own pace - we're fast walkers and city people, but we had spent most of the week on group tours, slowly moving with a large crowd and not seeing as much as we'd like to see. Martina knew the city so well, and we really felt that she gave us some unique insight into what life is like for locals. She recommended some great places to visit and eat! Would definitely recommend a tour with her to friends and family.

Great Orientation to Florence!

My husband and I had a great tour with Mara! We took the 2 hour tour and it was just enough time to give us a great overview of Florence and help us determine what we wanted to do during our stay. She was nice enough to take some pictures for us and give us historical knowledge of the different neighborhoods and places. Great value for the tour and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
