Overview

A City cultural tour in Chinotimba and Mkhosana township, Chinotimba translating to " people living together in harmony" the oldest city of Victoria Falls town since 1904. A  tour in the evening with all street lights on and enjoy the view of the town ship at night. We pick clients and visit old vegetables market and beer hall that has marked the origin and age of the city since its beginning. Meet local people and drive through to get a glimpse catch of an eye to the oldest clinic in town and the Old peoples home.we visit the Hospital and the evening grounds of over night life of the city - night clubs. Mkhosana township is an extension of of the city in the National parks land which was once reserved for wildlife but because of growth in tourism the local authority expanded the land to use for residents. A Home cooked meal is ready, a food tasting experience in Africa. Mix with the family and share stories of a life with kids and neighbors. Experience of an African family setup.

We didn't know what to expect when we signed up for the home hosted dinner. We just wanted to have the village/family experience and stumbled upon this gem. It was educational, fun, and a great way to learn about local family and traditions! The food was so good. Loved everything about the experience.

Nkue the tour guide, picked me up from my lodge and drove me around some of the townships where he grew up in Vic Falls. Telling me about his time growing up in the area and showing me the local markets where ingredients of the meal where bought. Nkue and his family were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions about their life. The meal was delicious and lovingly prepared by his wife. I am a vegetarian and they were able to accommodate this without me feeling I missed out on what the family may typically eat. I had a wonderful time and I can not recommend this activity enough, especially if you like me want to experience something that is not your typical tourist activity and eat some home made food.
