During December & January of 2024/5, most departure's will be a small personized group of no more than 10 travelers. Lorne - Time to explore this seaside village, shop enjoy a coffee or simply enjoy the views. Apollo Bay - 1.5 hours to enjoy lunch where you desire, maybe stroll along the beach. 12 Apostles - Maybe descend to the Southern Ocean via Gibson Steps or enjoy the panorama from the elevated platform. London Bridge & Port Campbell. Rather than cancel the activity, if less than 10 guests are booked a modern mini van may be used instead of a touring coach. All November departures are guaranteed small group - Max 10 guests.

Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway

The arch was built in honour of the 3,000 returned soldiers who worked on the road and its creation during World War I. They started construction on the Great Ocean Road in 1919 and completed the 243 kilometres stretch of road in 1932.

Our morning tea stop is in the boutique village on the Erskine River, multiple choice of cafe's, bakeries or simply walk along the bay. Lorne is also renowned for its large colonies of Cockatoo's ( large parrot )

Great Ocean Road (Pass By)

As we leave Lorne we continue along the cliff face and escarpment's of the Great Ocean Road, pausing at the best available photo opportunities.
Apollo Bay

Descending into Apollo Bay for our lunch stop with it's 3km long beach front gives you the opportunity to explore this fishing village your way, maybe lunch at the local hotel, try local seafood in the many cafe's or bring your own lunch & enjoy on the beach.

Great Otway National Park (Pass By)

Mountain Ash & Californian Red Wood forests littered with ferns are complimented with sea vista's of the Southern Ocean as we meander our way to the Ship Wreck Coast.
Gibsons Steps

Maybe consider descending to this amazing beach. Be dwarfed by the 70-meter high vertical cliffs and marvel at Gog and Magog, the nicknames given to the giant limestone stacks rising up out of the sea. ( This is optional for those who don't desire the step walk )

Stop at the Twelve Apostles visitor centre and walk the short trail to the windswept lookouts to see the dramatic sight of waves crashing against the famous sea stacks.

Loch Ard Gorge

Loch Ard Gorge is the site of the most famous shipwreck on the aptly named Shipwreck Coast. With beach access currently closed we explore the cliff top look outs of the gorge and Mutton Bird Island

Exceeded our expectations

We've just been dropped off after a fabulous and fun but tiring day at the Great Ocean Road. Even though there was only myself and husband on this trip Wade did not cancel. Shano our driver met us at Southern cross station in a minibus but as there were no toilet facilities on board, made ample stops during the day. He was courteous and we didn't feel rushed at all at any of the stops, including some extra places to take scenic photos. He was highly knowledgeable throughout and knows his stuff. He kept us entertained the whole day with the history and some funny tales. We were made to feel like valued customers. We saw some koalas in trees and a couple of kangaroos in the wild. We struggled to complete the initial booking online but called the number where Wade was very helpful and enabled us to complete the booking. We can only highly recommend this company in our experience and would definitely book with them again. Thank you for making our trip such a memorable one and recreating our daughters memories. Shano you are a credit to the company.

Totally awesome! Probably, the best one day excursion I've ever enjoyed. A 500km round trip and eight stops en route, plus a driver/guide who kept us entertained and informed throughout. The coastal scenery and rainforest were just amazing!
