Private tour of palace is the best

We were escorted by a local guide, via a Globus tour, and arrived at 8:30am, so we didn't have any crowds. The tour was interesting and the guide was very good. There were about 10 rooms on the tour and it took over an hour. Lots of standing and walking. We ended in the gift shop and then viewed the gardens. The gardens are huge and we didn't have alot of time to really explore.

The tour guide was excellent, had excellent knowledge of the palace and very good English and was easy to understand. Being in a small group was a bonus as we had easy access to our tour guide for questions, etc.

our guide, Dace Schaerf, was amazing and provided a lot of really interesting information. We were very lucky that we went on a Tuesday because it wasn't crowded at all. The palace and grounds are extensive so be prepared to do a lot of walking. Dace knows a great deal about Art History which added to the experience. It was a very hot day and our tour guide was very understanding of the physical limitations of our small group. There were only 8 of us on our tour. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Myself, wife and son thoroughly enjoyed the small-group tour and Dace Schaerf was a truly amazing guide, sharing the history of the palace and interesting tidbits. She was patient answering our queries and her sense of humor certainly added to the fun.
