Beautiful day on Sólheimajökull

What a great experience I had that day! This was in all fairness the best glacier hike I had so far. Ignacio is an extremely professional guide, fun and prepared. But what struck me the most was the way his passion emanated from him. It made each and every moment more engaging. The tour was varied but not overly long. We climbed up the glacier and had many features of Sólheimajökull explained for us while walking on crampons. We visited a couple of moulins and even climbed one. Ignacio gave us an introductory lessons on ice climbing, let us practice and then offered the ones who felt like it to climb the moulin. Everything was super safe and actually very very exciting!

What a great day - our first and best glacier experience

A wonderful, unforgettable day on Sólheimajökull. On the way to the glacier, Ignacio explained to us, among other things, the formation and secrets of the ice, where the black piles of ash and underground rivers come from. He paid close attention to the safety of our equipment and our movement and gave us valuable tips on the correct behaviour on the glacier. The hike on the ice was an unforgettable experience, which culminated in climbing in the crevasses. Ignacio carefully selected routes that were suitable for all levels of climbers, including beginners. Not for a moment was I worried that something might happen. I was fascinated by the glacier and the fact that I was able to develop the ability to climb on ice without fear. Thank you Ignacio for these wonderful experiences under your professional guidance.

First time on a glacier and it was amazing! The incredible landscape, deep crevasses, fun climbing and the most breathtaking views... An unforgettable experience with a very fun and knowledgeable guide who showed us the ropes. Highly recommend.
