Join us on this tour as we unlock the true tales of some of the most well known names in Edinburgh’s history as well as some of the more hidden criminals hiding behind the walls of this gothic city. We will spend 2 hours wandering the streets of the oldest part of the city, visiting some of the burial sites of the stars of our stories in Greyfriars Graveyard, seeing the location of some of their last moments at the sights of Edinburgh's public executions and finally the locations and buildings that these true crimes took place in.

Very engaging and interesting

Zander was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic host. Clearly loves the city and sharing its history. I’ve done a bunch of tours before with friends and family from abroad and this is one of the best ones I’ve been on.

We had a great time learning about the history of true crime in Edinburgh with our guide, Jenny! We were tired after a long day of exploring so were pretty slow walking but everything was so interesting that it kept us engaged! So much information and she answered other questions we had, too!

Scotland history with a twist

The tour guide was a great guy! Very friendly, outgoing, and told great stories! His description of events and the people of Scotland made me feel like I picture them in my mind! Also, he got to know me and sometimes tailored his recommendations and points of interests that he thought I would enjoy. I loved my experience!!!

Spooky and historic

Just returned from a great Ghost tour led by Xander. My 15 year old daughter and I both loved the History and the mystery and we even got some Harry Potter facts thrown in as he knew we were fans. Thoroughly recommend this and especially Xander who was engaging and knowledgeable. A highlight was Greyfriars Kirkyard which is spookily atmospheric even in the sun. Don’t hesitate, book the tour!

Our guide went above and beyond with this entertaining and informative tour. It lasted longer than planned, because Xander wants his guests to be as educated as possible regarding the ghouls of the city. He's a professional that is easy to understand, and funny, too. The tour experiences are creepy, and we learned much about Edinburgh history.
